METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM is an advanced three-step cold-applied roof system for sealing and protecting new and old metal roofs. The system consists of:
1. METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED CEMENT and GLAS-WEB REINFORCING MEMBRANE
2. METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING
3. TEXOTROPIC FIBERED ALUMINUM ROOF COATING

METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM
Specially Selected Asphalt
Designed exclusively for metal roofs, the three-step liquid system incorporates a specially selected asphalt for long life and weatherability. This more ductile asphalt gives higher resistance to sunlight, snow, rain and pollutants.
METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM
Rubberized
METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING contains rubber polymers which make the Product highly elastic. METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED CEMENT is a rubberized asphalt emulsion formulated for compatibility with METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING.
METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM
With GLAS-WEB and TEXOTROPIC
Texas Refinery Corp.'s GLAS-WEB REINFORCING MEMBRANE is for extra reinforcement at seams, used in the sandwich system with METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF CEMENT. TEXOTROPIC is a polyethylene fibered aluminum coating which gives excellent crack resistance and heat reduction.
METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM
Maximum Flexibility
METAL SEAL is a modified asphalt system which provides maximum flexibility on the roof. That added flexibility is needed on metal roofs since they are subject to much more movement than non-metal type roofs.
METAL SEAL ROOF SYSTEM
Durable
Once applied, the METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF SYSTEM provides years of waterproofing and protection to metal roofs on barns, factories, storage facilities . . . any type of metal roof structure.
And, since METAL SEAL is a liquid, cold applied system, the fire dangers associated, for example, with hot asphalt application are totally eliminated.
Application Method
Before application procedure, inspect metal panels for thin or worn-through areas resulting from rust. Thin panels resulting from rust should be replaced. Small rusted-through areas may be patched with a metal plate fastened in place with metal screws.

1. All surfaces must be clean. Power wash, vacuum or hose down and sweep. Wire brush rusted areas. Make sure all nails, screws, fasteners, etc. are in place and secure. New galvanized metal should be cleaned with a detergent such as MULTI-KLEAN to remove oily film. If a rust scale has formed, treat the surface with TRC RUST REMOVER and rinse with water.
|
2. Apply METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED CEMENT to all seams, screws, nails and protrusions in the metal roof. Apply a layer of GLAS-WEB over the seams, embedding it into the cement with a trowel. Follow with another layer of the cement on top of the GLAS-WEB, giving a sandwich reinforced seal.

3. Apply the METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING at a rate of three gallons per 100 square feet by brush or spray.* A conventional pole spray gun is recommended for spraying using a .040" to .072" spray tip orifice.
|
4. After the METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING has had a minimum of 30 days cure time, apply TEXOTROPIC FIBERED ALUMINUM ROOF COATING by brush, roller or spray* (same pole type) at a rate of 1-1? gallons per 100 square feet.
|
|
* In spray applications, care should be taken to protect nearby vehicles from possible airborne droplets of the coating. Cover as necessary.
Note: Do not make application if a freeze or rain is threatening within the next 24 hours.

BEIGE METAL SEAL RUBBERIZED ROOF COATING contains a special blend of polymers which provide excellent adhesion and flexibility. This system is designed to withstand the extreme movement that metal roofs display. This product contains a titanium dioxide pigment which gives excellent reflectivity of the sun's rays.
