C.E.S. COATING (Ceramic Energy Saving)

When used as an exterior coating, C.E.S. COATING, with its pure white color, effectively protects against the damaging rays of the sun. Whether applied on brick, wood, metal or masonry, C.E.S. COATING withstands harsh punishment in a variety of climates, while remaining beautifully white.USER BENEFITS:

  • EXTERIOR PROTECTION
  • INTERIOR TEXTURE
  • REDUCES HEAT TRANSFER
  • FAST DRYING

The same scientific research that developed the ceramic tiles to protect the space shuttle from heat build-up was used in the development of TRC's C.E.S. COATING. Using ceramic beads to form a thermal barrier which reduces heat transfer, C.E.S. COATING will keep buildings warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

C.E.S. COATING

Interior Texture

An application of C.E.S. COATING on interior surfaces helps reduce heating costs, hides cracks and flaws on walls and ceilings, while providing a textured appearance. C.E.S. COATING's advanced technology provides energy efficiency, water resistance, superior adhesion and durability.

C.E.S. COATING

Reduces Heat Transfer

Rigidly controlled laboratory tests prove C.E.S. COATING reduces heat transfer substantially. In similar tests three different metal plates were tested for three hours inside a test chamber where they were subjected to a powerful heat lamp. The starting temperature in the chamber was 25? Celsius (77?F). At the end of the test the temperatures underneath the three separate plates were:

96?C (205?F.) - - uncoated metal plate

84?C (183?F.)- - metal plate covered with TWO COATS of Regular Paint

69?C (156?F.) - - metal plated covered with ONLY ONE COAT of C.E.S. COATING

This test graphically demonstrates the superior heat transfer resistance of C.E.S. COATING.

C.E.S. COATING

Fast Drying

Under normal conditions, C.E.S. COATING dries in 30 minutes. One coat will provide effective coverage on most surfaces. Use two coats if necessary to get the coverage and effect desired.

C.E.S. COATING

Surface Preparation

All surfaces, both new and old, must be thoroughly clean and free of all dirt, grease and loose substances. On previously painted surfaces, remove loose, flaky paint. Prime all bare surfaces.

Application

Mix C.E.S. COATING thoroughly before applying. Apply with a stipple or textured roller. Thinning is not recommended; however, if required, thin very sparingly with water. Coating needs to be applied as thick as possible to obtain maximum resistance to heat transfer. Do not apply when temperature is below 50?F.

Coverage

Application rates depend on texture and porosity of surface. One coat will provide effective coverage on most surfaces. Use two coats if necessary to get the coverage and effect desired. Under normal conditions, C.E.S. COATING dries in 30 minutes. Coverage rate: 1 to 1? gallons per 100 square feet.

Clean Up

Because of its latex base, C.E.S. COATING can be washed off of equipment and rollers quickly and easily using a mild detergent and water.

Caution

C.E.S. COATING may cause minor skin and eye irritation. Avoid direct contact where possible and wash exposed skin areas promptly with water. EYE CONTACT: Rinse immediately and repeatedly with water. Keep container closed when not in use. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. PROTECT FROM FREEZING.
