ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT is designed for the removal of asphalt type soils, oil and grease soils, and paraffin. It can be used in combination with MULTI-KLEAN in emulsifier systems.

DESCRIPTION:

Light amber liquid with characteristic solvent odor. A combination of organic solvents with excellent solvent action - - has three to five times the solvent action of the common solvents like kerosene and mineral spirits. Contains no alkalis or inert fillers.

PURPOSE:

ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT is designed for the removal of asphalt type soils! Highly effective solvent action on asphalt soils, oil and grease soils, and paraffin. Can be used in combination with MULTI-KLEAN!

HOW TO USE ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT:

LIGHT SOILS:

For light asphalt based soils, use at room temperature straight. For small parts, use in a soak tank operation. For large parts, brush or flow on the part to be cleaned. Time of removal is dependent on the depth of the soil.

HEAVY SOILS:

For heavy deposits of asphalt based soils where a soak tank is used, warm to a temperature of 130? F., making sure that no open flames are used, and use in the same manner as the cold operation. Care should be taken to hold the temperature at a maximum temperature of 130? F., to prevent fire hazards.

EMULSIFIER SYSTEMS:

As the solvent portion of solvent emulsifier systems, use 1 to 5 with MULTI-KLEAN in cleaning large areas with asphalt based soils.

 

CAUTIONS WITH ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT:

(1.) ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT is an organic solvent. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors and prolonged contact with skin.

(2.) DO NOT USE ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT ON ACRYLIC AUTOMOTIVE FINISHES.

(3.) In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse with copious quantities of water using eye cup or eye fountain and seek medical attention.

(4.) Use of rubber gloves and goggles in handling this solvent is recommended.

(5.) In heating ASPHALT CLEANING SOLVENT, maintain temperature of 130? F. maximum to prevent flash fire.
